New HJC SPXN Motocross Helmet

So I've came to a realization in my life, that wearing no helmet or a non-DOT beany are awesome and cool and makes me feel like a dog with his head out the window. But after a low speed crash on my Softail two years ago where all I got was a little road rash on my elbow and knee and numerous friends and brothers who have been seriously injured or killed doing what they love I've decided that a good brain bucket is the way to go. That way my brains won't become splattered on the windshield of some Korean's Hyundai Sonata if the unthinkable happens.

I have for the past few weeks have been drooling over Icon's new Variant Helmet. MX style designed for the road. Icon's website said that the distributer here in Korea is J-Tech which apparently is the company that builds them. knowing that it's within 2 miles of the HJC helmet factory in Seo-ri village in a nice little valley i knew there was no store there but I went anyway. Found out they also build Xpeed brand helmets alongside Icon's helmets.

Well, HJC makes MX helmets so I took back off north and west to Shin-gal (Suwon) to the outlet store to see what they had. The only SPXN they had in XL was the white with black and shiny decals. Pretty spiffy looking if you ask me. I also picked up two sets of Goggles yellow for night time and the smoked for day time use.

The HJC factory had a huge foam helmet with a stage, I take it the Melvin's ain't playing a concert there soon.

I think I kinda look like Dark Hlmet from Spaceballs.

And so it begins

Not only have a Scored a Dyna but a Dyna T-Sport! FXDXT the touring version of the Sport Dyna with the best rear suspension out of the factory... and the best front too but this one has the Storz inverted forks. Now to get some parts togeather and I'll start making it mo' better. Picked it up for pretty much a song and a dance from my Brother Nacho who's heading to Djibouti for work.

At Bison Choppers

After stuffing my piehole I ran out to Bison for a brake change and a couple other things that are wrong with the bike. It hasn't been touched in a year other than me riding it in the RRMC poker run and I need to get it right. The gas line from the tank to carb was toast and the oil is full of water in the primary. Anyway here's a nice shovel they built for a customer.

Out and about

Got up this morning and done something I haven't done since I got out of the army... I ran! Don't know what I was thinking but it felt good. Anyway, I'm at a Chinese restaurant on the outskirts of town enjoying jja jjang myong, noodles with black bean sauce. Yummy

What I'm gon' do?

That's how us southerners say it. I have the sporty chop here, which I'll never sell with all the blood, sweat and tears I've put into it. And bought the 80" evo chop from Matt Tobias last month that I have to go pick up in Arizona next month. I also have two wheeled RV in the garage in Texas. I like it but I don't love it... well, I do when it comes to living on that beast for months at a time rolling around the country and for taking the wife around but it does me no good there. I've been thinking for a while now about a Dyna or FXR for here for a relaible daily rider that goes like stink, stops on a dime and is comfortable as hell. The chop is reliable, not too bad in the comfort but I've done enough 500 mile days on that thing to know I don't like doing it too much and not legal for riding on post: no horn, front fender or turn signals.

Now, I have dug the NorCal style dyna with fairing and blacked out where I'd want a paint job putting my club logo and rockers in the tanks but that damn Sons of Anarchy, which I admit I like to watch, will and probably already has influenced the masses to where I'll get stupid questions and comments like, "WOW, that looks like Jax's bike!" where I'll fight the urge to punch somebody's jawbone in two. I can't fault the general public to be ignorant where the style came from and how it originated but I really hate people opening their mouths.

Anyway for your viewing pleasure here's some inspiration i've been mulling over and over in my head for the past few weeks.

Casa de Beaner dos...

Here's the view looking up the street to the house.

Linda sent a lot of stuff from Texas and sent my Bow with it. AWSOME! Now to find somewhere to shoot.

View on the 2nd floor patio.

Went to the Exchange and got a beard trimmer to tame the Talibeard but fucked up and made myself look like an AIDS patient. So I decided to shave it all off and start over again. This time I'll keep it under control, as long as I keep it like Opie's in that SOA show (As per Mrs. Rotus Brossum) and not all in your face bushy.

New Casa de Beaner

When Linda came back for her Gubmint yob, she got a house across the lake from where we were living. I like it a little better since it's a little quieter since we're not living right on Hwy 45 to Asan city on the Corona drive and all the damn Koreans taking up all our parking to go fishing. Hell, there were times where assholes would park right in the drive way 3 deep to go fishing, and it's my house! So I'd open the doors and take shit, open thier trunks, hoods remove parts from their cars and if it was locked I had an air pump if they needed it but I would take all the air out of all four tires and yank off their windshield wipers and other things. Got the message across. Here on this side it's a tiny road that leads to the backside of the lake and a big Korean corperation executive lives back here in a nice house so there's a gate to keep the damn fishermen out.

Rough Rider MC Poker Run

This weekend that I got back I rode in the Rough Riders MC fall poker run. It was awesome to get back out on my chop and ride after 90 days of jail... I mean Afghanistan. I won the farthest travel award since I came all the way from the sandbox.

Made it home from Afghanistan

After a very trying flight where I was trying not to choke the fat Korean next to me or the one leaning his seat back into my face I made it home to Korea. Waited in line for an hour to get the dirty Foreigner scowl at immigration and picked up my bags. Linda was waiting for me and drove home in bumper to bumper Seoul/Incheon traffic until we got close to home out in the mountains of Asan city to my home on the lake.

PSA from a patch holder to a non-patch (Civilian)

As I said before you can like the TV show, hell I even watch it for entertainment but for the sake of personal safety DO NOT wear a 3 piece patch if you're not a patch holder. The people who make them even have a discalimer that bullets from actual club memebers are hazardous to your health.

This Douche was captured by Bastards Forum memeber Warrior Chief at a Nebraska swap meet. Complete with pirate style doo rag, Tutel Sr. cock brushstashe and I'm sure wearing a wolf shirt underneath the sweatshirt.
